GREAT place for breakfast. Some of the best bacon. Dave, the owner, is a very kind man. He's been running the place for 37 years. Good place for a chicken sandwich (just not on a Friday during Lent!).

Wonderful restaurant. Amazing food at low prices. You can get a cheeseburger and if meal for cheaper than you can get it at any fast food restaurant and it is fresh. The staff are extremely friendly and accommodating. You feel like your at home eating, the environment is very comforting.

I grew up in Waynesboro so therefore I also grew up with The Velvet Cafe. I now live in Chambersburg am 34 yrs old and have children of my own. Anytime I am in Waynesboro you can bet I am dining at The Velvet. And the best part is my children love the food just as much as I do!! And they look forward to the nights we are able to dine there. Highly recommended!!!

I have not been here in over 5 years but decided to drop in. It was the same warm, friendly atmosphere serving delicious home style food. The prices are unbelievable. A complete home - cooked breakfast for under $5. This is 2018 folks. You can not find these places anymore. Please support your locally owned restaurants. This is a great one.

The dinner I had ( broiled chicken & potatoes) was really good. It makes you feel like you're in an old style diner..

I got a rare break without the kids and took myself to lunch. I had the Reuben and curly fries. Very tastey. The sandwich was piled high with meat. Staff was very friendly. Definitely recommend.

Got the crab cake sandwich. We both got cole slaw and neither one of us ate much. It had a funky taste. Crab cake also tasted odd. Not impressed.

Locally owned and operated since 1982. Perfect place for a tasty meal in the heart of Waynesboro. I grew up eating here and even washed dishes when I was in high school. If you’re visiting Waynesboro you’ve got to check out the Velvet. I love this place and the Wishard family!

Didn't even know this place existed and I've lived here for over 10 years. It's an old style restaurant/diner with a pretty wide selection of foods. Everyone found something they liked and even the kids ate most of it. Definitely going back.

Cute little place that is like stepping into the past. Love the memories hanging on the walls! Reasonable prices and if you are missing the good old days, this is the place to go. The food is great too!

The food is good! And we love the down home atmosphere of a local diner, which the Velvet certainly is. We go there often. Last time, I had the turkey dinner. Very satisfying!

There is something on the menu for everyone! The little "mini" sundae at the end of the meal, was perfect & enjoyed by all. The staff was very accommodating for our request to bringing a large group. "Thank you" to the entire staff.

Food is mediocre but the environment brings back memories of going to eat with the grandparents. It's a throwback to a bygone age and worth a visit.

The food is excellent, The employees are very nice and have excellent service. Everytime I leave the velvet. I'm full and had a great time.

Very hit or miss here. Sometimes you get a really good meal. Salad bar is always good. Just be sure you stick to the one egg per person. If not they take away your birthday or something.

This Is a wonderful place to go. Take my dad there every year for his birthday. They know him and make his visit good. The food is always good and hot and the waitresses are very pleasant and helpful. Would highly recommend it.
